  has the full 144,000 got to heaven yet?

  Hello Headmath...

  That being said about the 144,000 possibly not being a literal number. The way I see it is, that going to heaven is just a state of being at 'one' with God and Christ, rather than floating up into the sky. I also think that, when we put on the incorruptible bodies, they will be bodies, that will be perfect instead of the ones we have now; in the fallen flesh. And I believe that the 144,000 and the great crowd have the same hope, and that is life on EARTH>.. But that's just my opinion... Good night..getting late..here in Michigan..

  for jw's, what's the difference between a false religion, and "their so called true religion", when they keep on changing doctrines and saying things that never come true, and make life miserable for many of their followers?

  Hi JH....

  The JW''s think they have 'THE TRUTH', because they have a handful of very reasonable doctrines, that Russell established, (NO THANKS to them, ((the governing body)). Such as:

  Jesus is the son, rather than God, himself

  Condition of the dead = sleeping

  Ghenna = permanent death

  Sheol and Hades = where the dead are waiting for a ressurrection

  Paradise Earth

  God's name put on high and back in their bible

  The kingdom = a real government

  But also, they don't know, alot of false prophesies..and false doctrines, to boot.

  But once a person buys into the fact, that the governing body is the 'channel of God', then anything thrown at them, they will try desperately to accept.

  i was thinking of (just popped into my head)..of 2 bible stories.

  1. daniel 6 the story of the king, who had to throw daniel into the lions pit, but was very unhappy about it.

  anyways...daniel lived and the king threw the conspirators against daniel into the pit and they gobbled them up before they hit the bottom of the pit.

  I can recall the near sacrifice of Isaac and the copper serpent raised by Moses in the desert as applying to Jesus. Also the threshing oxen being symbolic of the Christian evangelisers.

  hey there, I would say the sacrifice of Issac is pretty obviously Jesus' sacrifice, anti-typically. Also the copper serpent seems like the sacrifice...what do you both think? But what is the threshing oxen, thang?

  major developments in my world, just wanted to let you all know about it.

  i'm meeting with the elder tomarrow afternoon.

  i'm going to stick heavy to the watchtowers interpretation of matthew 24 and how it is unbalanced, sensationalized and out of touch with any historical evidence or respect for the bible.

  I'm very happy for you. I wondered when I read your comments..how much longer you could sit thru the 'junk', week after week. The thing is Drew, do you have the inner strength, to continue your journey to TRUTH, even if your wife doesn't join you?

  I know if will be hard, but being true to yourself and God, is the most important thing of all. Even more important than a harmonious marriage...

  Greendawn... I think the reason that the JW's antitypical stuff is overboard..is because they apply so much to their false doctrine.. and to themselves...

  Like, I was reading recently that the 'ark' is the JW org.. BS...

  I was thinking of (just popped into my head)..of 2 bible stories. 1. Daniel 6 The story of the king, who had to throw Daniel into the lions pit, but was very unhappy about it. Anyways...Daniel lived and the king threw the conspirators against Daniel into the pit and they gobbled them up before they hit the bottom of the pit. (antitypical meaning) Even though we, as beloved of God, get thrown into the pit (symbolic, lions pit)...God, our King has to allow it..for legal reasons.. But in the end, we will come out okay, and the wicked will pay eventually. 2. Esther 4 - 8 The story in Esther about how Esther had to intervene and talk to the King, because the Jews were going to be attacked. For some reason the king had to allow it..something legal...But he passed a new law, that all the Isrealites were to be forwarned of the attack and they would be armed to protect themselves. In the end, no Isrealite died. (I have to reread the story) a little vague. (antitypical meaning) For legal reasons God has to allow bad things to happen to us... But he arms us and makes it as easy as possible for us to get thru it. I was thinking of (just popped into my head)..of 2 bible stories. I believe the stories in the bible are put there for a reason, and that many have antitypical meanings..

  i had email contact this week for the first time with an old boyfriend--haven't seen him in 28 years!

  i'm trying to compose an answer...there are a hundred reasons why i will never go back, but how to sum it up?

  i'm thinking along the lines of "i just don't believe that the society/gb is god's representative on earth" and see if he presses further.. suggestions, anyone?.
